Poncho it Up!

How to wear a fringe poncho

I don’t know about you, but now that summertime has officially hit us all (or, if you’re in the south like us, it doesn’t only “hit” us, it slaps us right across the face) it seems like daily beauty ritual goes from minimal to non-existent. It’s simply too hot to slave and blow dry the hair, use a curling iron, and apply a full face of makeup to walk outside and have it all go to hell in a handbasket. I’m here today on the blog to tell you how to wear a fringe poncho, and it will literally kick your fashion sense up a notch, with minimal effort on your part. Basically, it’s a summertime win-win for everyone.

To get all the facts out of the way first, the fringe poncho is slightly fitted through the body, yet is remarkably one size fits all, from size small to 3XL. It will hang nicely on the body, and is designed to hit below the waist. The neckline can be worn off the shoulder, or slouched on one side, or straight on. The fringe poncho is also available in four different awesome colors: red wine, buckskin, black, and chestnut. It was featured in our May Bitty Bag, and was super popular, so we do have limited stock on hand.

One would think that putting a suede poncho on as an accessory would be bulky, and add some unwanted layering during the hottest months ever, but the oversized nature of the poncho, as well as the swaying fringe really keeps you cool when it’s worn, and you will love how effortless it is to look put together while wearing. You can wear it as a traditional poncho, and I also love the idea of belting it and wearing as a blouse, as well. The design cut-outs are also a great way to keep cool and keep the air flowing, and it’s the perfect boho-chic accessory to throw on over top a pair of jeans and a plain tank top. I paired it with my favorite cowboy boots and turquoise jewelry last week and got a ton of compliments, too.

Learning how to wear a fringe poncho is easy, and you’ll love the flowy fit of our MicroSuede Poncho, as well as how it feels on, because it is fitted to a woman’s body, and doesn’t just hang there unattractively. I promise that you’ll love it, and learning how to style it will be easy for you to adapt to your own fashionable ways. It’s one of my very favorite summer clothing pieces, because it’s the perfect quick-fix to dress up a casual outfit, and turn it from drab to chic, instantly.
